INTRODUCTION

This programme started in UiTM Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Pilah Campus in December 2009.

The course is designed to equip students with the modern technological skills especially in microbiological techniques at the sub-professional level. Areas of study include the application of micro-organisms such as virus, bacteria and fungi in relation to their importance to mankind.

The department of microbiology is well equipped with the general science laboratories plus specialized laboratories devoted to areas in microbiology such as virology, bacteriology, mycology and industrial microbiology. In addition, the biochemistry and instrumental analysis laboratories and computers are also provided for data handling and analysis of students' project and research purposes.
